I partnered with Crocs in exchange for sharing this information and my honest opinion.
As a mom of three kids ages 4 to 9 years old, I don’t get a lot of time off. I am constantly driving one of them to a sport or sitting in a parking lot while they do that sport. I joke that I need a bumper sticker that says “Proud Soccer, Swimming, Hockey, Ballet and Cub Scout mom.” My youngest is only in half-day preschool so I still have one child with me at home most of the time too. I honestly don’t mind as my kids really are my life but I admit I do wish for a little me-time every now and then.
This past weekend I ended up having almost a whole day to myself. My husband and boys went camping with cub scouts and my daughter went to stay with my in-laws. I first did what any mom alone would do – I put on some yoga pants and painted my toes. I had a cut on my foot so I didn’t want to go get a pedicure, so I did my own on my back deck.
I think I did okay for a quick paint job at home before running out:
I would have loved to do some shopping alone, which is a definite luxury for me, but I didn’t really need anything and I would have bought stuff we didn’t need. A beach day too would have been nice but besides the weather not being warm enough, I’d miss my kids too much seeing all the other families on the beach! I did though plan a night out for dinner with my friend. It is amazing how just a few hours of a nice dinner and drinks can really help me unwind.
Oh and getting back to my Moms Day Off, there was one particular brand of shoes that got me through the day. Crocs are my go to brand and I wear them year-round from my Croc winter boots to my flip flops. This year I got some new pairs of Crocs, which were perfect for what I had planned on my Moms Day Off.
From running a quick everyday errand to a dinner out, my new Crocs had me covered. I love the comfort and how stylish Crocs are today. I remember my very first pair of Crocs were the traditional style but in hot pink color. Now there are so many styles that you wouldn’t expect them to be Crocs.

Those sandals with the flowers on them are very cute! I didn’t have a subbing job today, so I did similar to what you did. I painted my fingernails! That way when my hands are shown on the projector tomorrow, I’ll have nice pink nails for the kids to see.
