Home theaters have sure come a long way throughout the years. Televisions have gotten smaller, VCRs have turned to DVD and then Blu-ray players and speakers have become smaller but more powerful. Projectors have greatly improved as well. I remember being at a family friend’s house about 15 years ago when projectors were first coming out and the quality was awful. I vowed to never get a projector. Now I sit here typing this watching Netflix using my Epson projector! The quality of the picture is amazing and I don’t think I could ever go back to a regular television in our basement!
Our Epson projector is about a year old now and even since then it has evolved! The ultra-bright Epson Home Cinema 11400 is a projector with 4400 lumens of Color Brightness so viewers get rich beautiful Full HD images up to 300″, even in large, well-lit spaces.
Some more features of the ultra-bright Epson Home Cinema 11400:
- Lightweight and portable
- Built-in speaker
- Dual HDMI ports to connect a cable box and gaming console (or anything else requiring a HDMI cable)
- Crisp 1080p resolution and 3LCD, 3-chip technology – meaning vivid details
- Plug ‘n Play Instant setup – Instantly projects audio and video from a PC or Mac via a USB connection
Our basement Epson projector is not this model as its older, so I can only imagine how awesome this model is. I actually just set my mom up with our first Epson projector, which is a very basic model, to get her started on her home theater and she is loving it. I am sure it is only a manner of time before she wants to upgrade!
Whatever your viewing needs are, Epson makes some great projectors! The ultra-bright Epson Home Cinema 11400 is definitely one to check out!

I ised to work at Best Buy 12 years ago. I remember how the projectors cost a fortune, and their visual quality was mediocre. It’s crazy how far it’s come since then! I’m glad to know that they’ve come so far in the last decade!
