Hotel Bruce

$17.99 – Hardcover

Released: October 18, 2016

For ages 5-8

When Bruce gets home from a southern migration trip with his goslings, he is tired. He is grumpy. And he is definitely not in the mood to share his home with the trio of mice who have turned his den into a hotel.

There’s a possum pillow fight wreaking havoc in one room, a fox luring guests into a stew in the kitchen, and a snuggly crew of critters hogging the bed. Bruce growls and grumbles and tries to throw them all out, but the entrepreneurial mice just can’t take a hint. Bruce is in a little over his head, especially once the goslings join the staff. Will this grumpy bear ever get his quiet, peaceful den back to himself?

ryanthigginsRyan T. Higgins (ryanthiggins.com) is the author/illustrator of Mother Bruce. He does NOT live with four geese, but he and his family do live with a tortoise and a menagerie of other pets. At one time or another, Ryan has been friends with a porcupine, a raccoon, a beaver, dozens of mice, and a couple of squirrels, but he has never found a moose in his bed. He always peeks under the covers, though.

Hotel Bruce is an adorable sequel to the book Mother Bruce that was released last year.  Bruce is a bear that likes to be alone and has his own routines. Well some baby Goslings think he is their mother and his world changes. Well in this picture book, Bruce comes back from a trip with his little goslings only to discover some other animals have turned his bear den into a hotel! Bruce being the loner he is and plus just coming back from vacation, just wants his peaceful home back. It is a great story and a quick read. Perfect for before bed. There is only a sentence or less on each page and very visual pictures, perfect for young kids who can’t read but love looking at pictures. My 5 year old loves to hold this book and ‘read’ me the story by looking at the pictures.

WIN IT: (1) US winner will receive a cozy hotel robe, a pair of slippers and sleep mask, plus a copy of Hotel Bruce to keep your little goslings entertained!
