With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, my daughter has been asking for books. She loves monsters and I knew this new book from Sky Pony Press would be a hit. It is a big picture book all about a monster who wants to give out Valentine’s Day card to his best friend. There was a problem of course, he has a monster appetite and keeps eating the card after he makes it! Will he be able to do it? The story is a great lesson of friendship and determination. It is also a quick story that is easy to read.

Groggle’s Monster Valentine

Groggle has been up all night making a Valentine’s Day card. This isn’t just any Valentine, though, and it has to be perfect—it’s for Snarlina, his beast friend in the whole wide world.

    I always loved the Valentine’s parties we had in grade school. Making mailboxes for our cards from an old shoebox and construction paper. Then on the day of the party having a little party with cupcakes, punch, cookies and candy. It was always so much fun.

  34. I found the cutest box of chocolates at Walmart that have sayings about teachers. They were only $1. My son and daughter are taking them to their teachers this year.

    I love Valentine’s Day! Hubby & I actually got married on the 13th of February and was on our honeymoon on Valentine’s Day!     On Valentine’s Day, we eat only red foods for dinner, like that episode of Olivia. Watermelon, Spaghetti, Red Velvet cake. The kids love it <3
