As a busy mom of three I don’t always put my own needs first. I have been slowly trying to put myself first. I have been walking a few miles everyday, I cut back on junk-eating and I am trying to eat better overall meals.
I have tried frozen meals from the grocery store and other diet meal products but they were so-so. What would happen too is I would eat the “diet” meals but it was for just one meal of the day.
Personal Trainer Food is a company that offers great tasting food that is high in protein, good carbs and healthy fats with no heavily processed food products. Their food is cooked and then flash frozen to preserve flavor and freshness. Oh and they don’t use fillers, hidden sugars, bad carbs or trans fats and low or no gluten.
What really sparked me with Personal Trainer Food is I received the 3 Meals a Day package so I didn’t have to worry about any meals. There are other plans to choose from too depending on how many meals you want and want your needs are (rapid weight loss or double protein.)
So what did I get from Personal Trainer Food?
Since I received the 3 Meals a Day package, I received a whole lot of food – so keep that in mind since it is all freezer food.
I seriously filled my freezer and luckily had room in a second freezer! I wasn’t prepared when I received it otherwise I would have cleaned out my freezer. You can store the meats and breakfast foods in the fridge for up to 14 days too if you run out of room.
Cooking Personal Trainer Food
To make it even easier, Personal Trainer Food is so easy to cook. Each item is sealed in a bag that allows you to steam it in the microwave for just 1-2 minutes. Now I know what your thinking, frozen food that is microwaved is not always flavorful. Well so far every item I have eaten from Personal Trainer Food has been amazing and seriously tasted fresh. Plus Personal Trainer Food has amazing sauces that can be added to your dishes for extra flavor – yeah for butter!
So for each meal you cook a meat and a vegetable bag. These are not TV dinners or dehydrated products, but rather REAL food that is easy to mix and match to whatever your mood is. There are over 800 combinations too so definitely not something you’ll get sick of!
You do not need to add any other food, other than snacks. You can buy snacks from Personal Trainer Food or on your own.
What is the catch with Personal Trainer Food?
Really there is no catch! There are no hidden fees, no contracts, no auto billing and no gimmicks! You order and within 2-3 days you get your food! You can choose to renew when you want or have it automatically renew if you’d like – your plan is easily changed. Just want to try it for one month, then just order one month’s worth of food!
So how did I do on Personal Trainer Food?
Honestly I was not consistent with the food due to traveling a lot this month and being sick so I didn’t loose weight but I didn’t gain any weight either! I honestly really enjoyed everything I have eaten from them, and I am a pretty picky eater, and my husband has liked everything he has tried. That was a problem for me too, my husband wanted to try a meal and then he just kept trying them! He is super judgmental with frozen food and he couldn’t believe how much flavor they had in them!
You know too how the food always looks good on the website or packaging and then you cook it and it looks terrible? Well again that is not the case with Personal Trainer Food. The food looks like it should and tastes like it should.
I honestly have nothing bad to say about Personal Trainer Food.
I found it was super to cook and gave me no excuses not to eat it.
I liked the variety of meats and while the vegetables were pretty much all the same, I liked to mix it up with the different sauces.
I liked that I didn’t have to worry about calories or eating junk. The natural food choices are packed with protein, good carbs and healthy fats. No junk fillers either in them.
When I was hungry for more, I honestly just heated up another bag of vegetables and was fine. I was surprised at how filled I was though with their portions. I found I ate way too much when I didn’t eat a Personal Trainer Meal and that I was eating just to eat.
Overall, Personal Trainer Food has taught me that I do love vegetables and need to eat them more, I don’t need to overeat and it is possible to eat three meals at home!

Is the sodium quite high for these? I think pre-made meals are great when in a pinch, but I’m concerned about what’s in them.

It does say to avoid the breaded items if you are looking for low sodium otherwise they should be fine.
