I partnered with this brand in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
So every summer I tell myself that I am going to make sure my kids keep up with schoolwork. From reading to worksheets, I don’t want the “summer drain” to happen to my three kids. I mean three months of not using their brains is definitely not going to do any good for them. Luckily there are some great math apps that make it easy for me to get my kids to want to tackle some math fun.
Zap Zap Math is a game-based learning app that makes learning math both fun and engaging. From kindergarten to 6th grade, there are math games to encourage kid’s critical thinking skills. The app also uses common core state standards so kids can keep up with what is covered in school.
Areas of math covered are:
- Addition
- Subtraction
- Fractions
- Ratio
- Multiplication
- Geometry
- Coordinates
- Measurements
- Angles
- Time
Some key features of Zap Zap Math are:
- Lots of games to practice the various math areas
- Each math area is divided into four skills: Training, Accuracy, Speed, and Mission
- Games become more challenging as child goes through levels
- Parents can check out child’s performance via a reports dashboard
What I love about Zap Zap Math is my three kids can have their own grade profiles and they all enjoy “playing” the game. Well, they call it “playing” and have yet to complain about it being educational. There is such a variety of math questions and it is fun how it gets more challenging as you go. We have tried apps before where my kids get bored with the same ole’ same ole’ questions, but so far they have yet to complain. The app is bright and inviting too which helps spark kids curiosity.
With my kids being on their tablets so much anyways and us on the go, I love that they can pop onto this game whenever and wherever. It is a fun free game.
So what’s the catch? Well the app is free and there is a lot packed in but you will probably want to upgrade to Premium which is only $9.99 a year! Premium adds in over 100 premium games, detailed report cards and allows all grades.

My son struggles with math a bit, so I think he would benefit from this!
