Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) products seem to be popping up everywhere for people of all ages. All the products are designed to develop core skills in STEM areas. From basic learning games to stimulating advanced toys, there is such a variety of STEM products to choose from.

Ozobot is a little robot type toy that teaches kids cause/effect, coding, problem-solving and more. Kids ages 6 and up can do over 20 activities with Ozobot starting out with just zooming around to coding complex movements for him.

So I have played around Ozobot with my 8 and 10-year-old sons and they are hooked. There is so much to do with him that I feel like we haven’t even scratched the surface!

From playing games and driving around on the included cardboard tiles:

To driving around your own map drawn on regular paper with the special Ozobot markers:

Oh and there is even coding you can do at Ozo Blockly that you can send to your Ozobot EVO. We haven’t done too much with the coding part yet but it is something my boys are working up to.

Right out of the box, Ozobot is ready to go. You might need to charge it but ours did have a charge on it. You turn it on and he starts zooming around. For more fun though you will want to download the Ozobot App (make sure you download the one that corresponds to the Ozobot you have.

The app then allows you to upgrade your Ozobot, send mazes, change colors and more. Like I said, I feel like we haven’t even scratched the surface! My boys like just watching him go and he can work on any surface if you drive him with the app.

I can’t wait until they try out the coding part though so they can see the cause and effect of the coding actions they do. You can even communicate with other Ozobots and change it up with accessories!
