I received product/compensation in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
I remember it clearly like it was yesterday. We were celebrating Christmas at my husband’s grandparents house and my son (just 2 years old at the time.) Everyone got him gifts and all of them required batteries and a screwdriver. I was not prepared and my son cried and cried. The next Christmas, I actually brought what I called a “Present Kit.”
Silly as it may sound, you don’t want your child to have a meltdown or be bored sitting with a present they can’t play with. Every year since, I have been prepared and my kids are able to sit down with their toys while we are at our families houses.
I also like to stock up and be ready at home so Christmas morning, we are not searching for batteries and tools. I have found that it is important to stock up on all sizes too of batteries because you just never know. The most common batteries though are usually AA and AAA. I am that gift giver too that always makes sure I give batteries when they are required. Even when a toy says batteries are included, I give batteries because the batteries included are usually temporary demo batteries.
