10 Reasons iD Tech is the #1 tech camp

I received product/compensation in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

Do you have a child who is interested in coding, game developing, engineering or designing? It is crazy how much STEM has grown and how many kids are interested in those career paths. Now kids ages 7 to 17 years old can experience a summer camp like no other! Your child can explore a prestigious campus, make new friends as they master new tech skills and join a community of 350,000 alumni.

iD Tech is the original tech camp and an industry leader in STEM education. World-class instructors teach customized programs on in-demand skills throughout various STEM careers.

What makes iD Tech the #1 tech camp?

    1. There are over 50 cutting-edge summer courses and year-round online private lessons to ensure long-term success for your child. Students can learn to code, design video games, mod Minecraft, create with Roblox, engineer robots, print 3D characters, work with AI, build laptops, design Fortnite-inspired games, learn about cybersecurity, and more!

    1. iD Tech alumni often go on to launch startups, found nonprofits, and land dream jobs at tech powerhouses like Google and Facebook.

    1. Students use the latest tools including tech like Adobe, Android, Autodesk, Microsoft, and Unity.

    1. It is a camp atmosphere too so students can expect outdoor activities, gaming tournament, music video parodies, pie-your-instructor Fridays, and dress-up days. The fun camp culture helps takes the pressure off so students can build on their passion and make new friends.

    1. Today over 50,000 girls have graduated from the various tech camps, which is up from just 12% of female campers that attended six years ago. 10% of the seats are also reserved for underprivileged students who might not otherwise have access to quality tech education.

    1. iD Tech is held at 150+ locations nationwide and only summer tech program trusted by top universities including Loyola University, Northwestern, Benedictine, Lake Forest, Stanford, MIT, and others.

    1. Speaking of top universities, the teachers are all carefully selected and recognized as top talent. They may be game designers themselves from EA or software engineering ungrads from MIT. Each staff member also receive in-person training so they are ready to help their students grow and succeed.

    1. The classes are 5-10 students per instructor (maximum 10) with levels from beginner to advanced. Kids can go at their own pace through a personalized program.

    1. Think of iD Tech as an investment in your child’s future since we are in the age of technology. The classes are more than your typical park district classes or even nearby science center but you know up front what you are getting with iD Tech and can set higher expectations.

  1. STEM tech jobs are amongst the highest paid and fastest growing in the country. With iD Tech experience, your child can receive the best of the best through instructors, locations, and tools. The Smithsonian has reported that by the end of 2018, 2.4 million STEM jobs will go unfilled due to not enough qualified applicants. That is a lot of work that could be done!

  1. Sade Rieux says:

I haven’t heard of iD Tech, but this is something I will be checking out and possibly enrolling my kids in one of their programs.

  2. I think a good technology competency is arguably now one of the most important skills to learn during childhood – even more so than things like foreign languages which were once seen as one of the most important skills.
