I received product/compensation in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
A few weeks ago I got the chance to attend a lunch and learn event sponsored by the Consumer Technology Association and Little Tech Girl and I was not disappointed. I got to check out the latest tech products that are perfect for gift giving and learn about how tech has changed how we do things. I also got to dine on a fabulous lunch at Formento’s Restaurant.
What are some perfect tech gift ideas for 2018?

Fitbit Versa
This is Fitbit’s newest smartwatch and serves as the ultimate daily health and fitness companion. There are on-screen workouts, 4+ days battery life, personalized reminders, female health tracking and all-day activity tracking. Perfect for all levels of fitness. I think it is awesome that this watch actually has female heath tracking as I have never heard of that feature before plus a 4+ day battery life is pretty much un-heard of before!
Lenovo Mirage Solo
This device is probably what I was most excited about because it is unlike anything I have ever heard of. It is the world’s first standalone VR headset – meaning no PC, phone, cables or external sensors are required! It is equipped with WorldSense technology meaning users can duck, dodge, lean and move in ways to enhance the virtual reality experience. It has a powerful processor, high-resolution low-latency display and built-in battery packed in an ergonomic design to wear. We have tried other VR headsets and they were a pain because we had to take the cases off our phones and put them in a headset then try to connect via bluetooth. I tried out this handset and was super impressed! I got to bring one home and can’t wait to try out everything it can do!
Plantronics Earbuds and Headsets
I got to check out all the latest Plantronics devices from earbuds to headsets. The BackBeat FIT 3100 are true wireless earbuds that let you simultaneously listen to music and heard your surroundings for safer training in any environment. They are sweatproof and waterproof plus you can listen for up to five hours and get an extra 10 with the charging case.
Healium
This is a portable, digital device that is basically high-tech meditation. I will say I am not big into meditation but this worked! You wear a VR headset that has virtual and augmented reality escapes that are powered by your brainwaves or heart rate via your wearables!
So in the video I did, I had to heal a tree and make it grow. I was definitely skeptic about it working! You have to unwind your thoughts and think happy things and the tree heals. I was doing good with the tree until someone behind me was talking loud and I was getting mad at them, all of the sudden the tree stopped healing as it sensed my brainwaves and body getting upset! It really worked and reminded me to just breathe and not let things bother me!
Healium comes with a video curriculum on neuromeditation and the content is updated bimonthly so it doesn’t get old.
iHome Smart Mirror
This mirror is a 9-inch functioning mirror with lights, magnification and speaker that can connect with your smartphone.

This is the first-to-market MFi-certified power bank to recharge via Lighting connector for on-the-go charging. Your devices charges at top speed and multiple times! Perfect for keeping you connected all day.

Awesome ideas! Sometimes it’s hard to decide if technology is here for the long term or if it will be obsolete tomorrow. The Speck Presidio Phone Case is something I could use. I have no case for my phone and I live in fear of dropping it

Some great ideas not only for Christmas time.
Jeffrey says
These are some cool gadgets.
Nigel Soper says
Some great ideas – thank you. Sometimes it is difficult to tell what is really in vogue as opposed to what the manufacturers want to push or what will last as opposed to a flash in the pan.

My daughter would love the Harry Potter Coding Kit.

Great ideas. I’m going to get one of Speck Presidio Cases for my in-laws. Just last year they broke 2 phones each. But with this case (withstand drops up to 10ft. and keep your device protected) they wouldn’t need to get a new phone too often
Dandi D says
I need a new case for my phone, so that’s my favorite idea from the list!

I am wanting to get my daughter a kindle for Christmas.
Janet W. says
