Working Smarter With the Autonomous SmartDesk Standing Desk

Until March, our home office was my domain. I had everything set up in there perfectly for where I needed it. Then quarantine hit and all of the sudden my house went from a quiet during the day to lots of craziness. My husband was suddenly home and on conference/zoom calls all day and my three kids were all doing e-learning which included zoom calls.

While I loved having my family home, our house definitely needed to be adjusted to everyone’s needs. So to get my area back in our office, I knew I had to get a better and bigger area for my husband. His requirements were a big surface and he wanted it adjustable so he could stand at it when he wanted. First off its affordable. I have found other attachments to convert desks or add to desks to make them affordable but this comes with a giant desk plus the ability to adjust it to sit or stand which makes it truly the best affordable standing desk since you get two in one – a traditional desk and a standing desk component. The surface is huge! It can be a small computer desk or a big desk depending on how you adjust it heightwise. The Classic design measures 53″L x 29″W x 1″H (there is an XL version) which means my husband can fit his laptop, extra monitor (which is currently an old tv) and his notebook, coffee and more!

4 programmable height settings to suit a wide range of needs whether my husband wants to sit, stand or somewhere in between. The buttons are placed off to the side and connected to a plug that will need to be plugged into a wall outlet. Also, great so I can have my own setting.

Assembly takes 15 minutes. Have you ever put a desk together? It is usually a pain in the butt because there are a million pieces and you have to figure out what goes where. This desk took my husband about 15 minutes to connect everything. He actually probably spent more time unboxing and unwrapping all the pieces.

The dual motor system offers a smooth move whether it be up or down and is capable of lifting up to 300 lbs at the press of a button. It is seriously quiet and smooth, my daughter says its like magic. The steel legs support the desk amazingly.

A scratch-resistant surface means the desk is going to stand up to my husband’s daily usage.

This is the perfect standing desk for small workspace. We have an awkward ceiling in our office and it is jam-packed in there with filing cabinets, bookcases and desks so it was important to find a desk to fit where I needed it to and be able to be adjusted.

Honestly my husband said he cannot imagine going to work and not using his new SmartDesk. Even when my husband worked in an office, he still worked from home occasionally and I work from home regularly anyways. I am actually excited to use the desk once he goes back to work because sometimes it is easier for me to write stuff out while standing rather than sitting awkwardly at my desk. The desk surface is truly huge and offers so much room to spread out materials. My daughter loves it when in the lowest level as it is perfect for her height!

Seriously this is an item I never thought I’d own and now it is something used daily in my household. It is better for my husband’s work performance, circulation and overall health and the large surface saves his sanity of keeping everything organized. I find myself using it to write stuff down if I am on the phone or packaging something up to ship rather than sitting at my traditional desk.
