The Blind only in theaters starting 9/28
Long before Phil Robertson was a reality TV star, he fell in love, started a family, and began to spiral out of control. THE BLIND shares never-before-revealed moments in Phil’s life as he seeks to conquer the shame of his past, ultimately finding redemption in an unlikely place.
When Duck Dynasty first started my husband and I were hooked because it was a family that was so real and un-filtered. To see the family being wholesome but still real was refreshing as they were not fake sounding. The patriarch Phil Robertson was religious and mentions how he found religion but not much was told about the story of their past of their love and how their famous product was started.
This movie is great because just like the family it is unfiltered and raw. It tells the story of Phil and Kay meeting and falling in love and then Phil having a drinking problem. Kay stood by him but left when she needed to with her kids and came back when she needed to. Phil found redemption and thanks to faith and love the family stuck it out and became stronger. It is a story with a hard beginning that turned out for the better.
Disclaimer: This film contains some intense thematic elements including smoking, drinking, abuse, and minor language that may be triggering. Please note that these elements are included to show the raw, true story of the Robertsons and what God did in their lives to bring them where they are now!
