Just found this on Facebook, as a mom of a son with egg and nut allergies cakes are definitely a challenge. I usually use Ener-G Egg Replacer but that doesn’t always make the cakes rise like I’d like so we opt for Oreo cookies with frosting.
I am definitely going to be trying this out this summer!
The recipe calls for using just two ingredients: the cake mix and 1 whole can of soda. No eggs, no oil, no water! Just mix the soda and cake mix and bake as directed! Now some comments I read on this on other sites are that soda is bad for you, and yes you are entitled to your own opinion. As a mom looking for an egg substitute or if you love soda in general then these cakes are definitely ones to check out!

Despite the fact that pop/soda is unhealthy, and it is indeed fact, it doesn’t mean it can’t be consumed… in ANY way (‘in moderation’). Diet is most especially unhealthy. Maybe someday I’ll get corresponding flavors of SodaStream mix to make these cakes. It’d be healthier! …no high fructose corn syrup.
